So many are looking for this pattern and it is on one of my favorite sites:  Moda Bakeshop

Check it out - you surely won't be disapointed!

Christmas Projects in Arizona

Well I've been busy since leaving home.  Decided to make some special things for friends and family.  Here's a quick look:

Toile Snowman
It turned out magnificent and I hope my family loves it as much as I enjoyed making it.  It will be a surprise when they receive it in the mail.

Made this one as a Christmas Aniversary gift.  Photo was taken after it was wrapped in the cellophane bag so you can't see the beuaty and simplicity of it - but it turned out simply lovely.

Arizona Quilt Projects

This is my Christmas Angel surrounded by animals.  She is embroidered and I decided to finish the back of the hanging with the free motion trees......she should be done soon.

My Christmas Toile quilt.  Photo is a bit blurry but it's a work in progress.
Little Manger scene wallhanging - embroidered, still to be quilted and become a pretty little wallhanging.  I think I'll hang this one in my window for Christmas.

Fire Fairy - Almost Done!

Brought the Fire Fairy thread painting down to Arizona - she is almost's her photo - All I need to do now is embellish her dress and belt and a few other places with Crystals. The first photo is the Fire Fairy sketch - stitched out in black thread  - ready to color.  The bottom photo is her waiting for the finishing touches....She is the first in a series of four.  Fire, Earth, Air and Water.  The photos were taken from a book I purchased called Enchanting Fairies - How to Paint Charming Fairies and Flowers by Barbara Lanza.  I emailed the author and received her permission to blow them up, and thread paint them.  I will email her the finished quilt art.

Faith - the Back - Cancer Fundraiser

Well - here's the back of the wallhanging I made for the Think Pink Cancer Silent Auction.  I'm pretty happy with the way this little hanging turned out.

Think Pink Silent Auction

Well I've been busy - finally got done the little wallhanging for the Think Pink Silent Auction.  Here's the photo.  Tried to upload the back where I have a listing of all the various ribbons but for some reason the computer didn't cooperate.  Most likely operator error.  I'll try another day.

I LOVE UFO Sundays

I love UFO Sundays with Leah Day - here is a link to her site.  Unfortunately - having just had surgery - today won't be a quilting day but a day to catch up on some craftsy quilt courses while I relax for the next few days.  In the meantime - enjoy the link to Leah's site."

Past Projects

Well I guess it's time to upload some of my previous projects - This one is titled Three Sisters - the three mountains in Canmore, Alberta - I quilted it as a wedding gift for my Brother and Sister-in-law. Using Leah Day's expertise - I purchased the Supreme Glider and practiced one of her free motion styles and it turned out great.   I have also embellished it with tyvek, paint and a few fabric embellishments.
